Sam Dylan Finch. I’m a writer and positive psychology practitioner that’s passionate about queer joy — with none of the self-helpy bullsh*t. I wrote that thing about people-pleasing that you showed your therapist. I’m much weirder in real life.  ✨ He/they. More?

Every so often, I’ll stumble upon a pro-ana account engaging with my content — I imagine because they’re conflicted, pulled back and forth between the part of them that wants to recover, and the part of them that is engulfed by their eating disorder.
Hi! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sam Dylan Finch. I have recently partnered with @bezzycommunity and am excited to announce that I'm the newest guide for the @BezzyDepression community. On the platform, there are several conversation forums where folks living with depression can connect with others who get it. I also host live chats twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00pm PST in the Live Discussions forum. Come say hey!
Sometimes my depression feels like “my fault.” If I just got up early enough, followed the right routine, did all my therapy homework, did some yoga… I always find a way to blame myself when a depressive episode creeps in.
I’d really like my brain to cooperate just this once. 😫 Do you relate?
