Did you know... 💡 Trauma and ADHD both impact the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for our executive function? This means making a plan and following through on tasks can feel painful, if not impossible.
Everyone’s mental health recovery will look different. Not just because our needs and experiences are unique, but because privilege and access to care are very real. But I wanted to share this glimpse into what life with a mental illness looks like for me, and how much work is involved in maintaining my recovery.
